Hey there.

I'm Leah, and I'm truly glad you're here.

I'm a Minnesota master naturalist, herbalist, forager, and lover of mycology living with my family in the woods of Minnesota.

I started wildcrafting in 2012, when I was living in Portland, OR. Discovering the endless ways in which the plants we meet can aid us in our lives was addictive! Since then, I spent four years in the desert of western Colorado, getting to know plants that dwell in the dry mountains. In 2019, my husband and I moved to Washington state when I took a job in marketing with Wilderness Awareness School. After four years, we found ourselves with two tiny daughters living in a one-bedroom log cabin in the woods. To best serve our growing family, we said goodbye to the mountainous west and relocated to the Brainerd Lakes Area in Minnesota. We now reside on 40 acres of white pine, birch, wildflower meadow, and wetland.

I love talking with people about nature, foraging, and teaching opportunities. Please feel free to reach out!

With bird song and birch,

-Leah
