There are possibilities

outside your door.

There are plants, trees, and fungi you pass by each day with numerous gifts to offer. If you're curious what sort of edible plants are hidden in the woods, how to make medicine from wild plants, or how to turn nature's gifts into handmade crafts, you've come to the right place.

What is wildcrafting?

Wildcrafting means harvesting roots, leaves, flowers, seeds, fungi, bark, fruit, or lichen to create something delicious, healing, functional, or beautiful. Beyond foraging, wildcrafting means seeing the possibilities in every gift from nature with connection, resourcefulness, and reciprocity.

Plant Medicine

Learn how to identify, harvest, and prepare wild plant medicine to keep you and your family healthy.

Identification Visits

Discover what's growing around your home! Identification visits include a visit with you at your property, identifying species of interest, discussing them, and marking them for you to easily find them again. I offer an optional follow-up package with species information, harvesting instructions, recipes, techniques, and further resources.

Classes

I offer occasional classes and workshops on topics such as foraging, medicinal plants, mushroom ID, nature connection, and nature dyeing. Classes may be hosted by an affiliate organization, or at my own property in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Mushroom ID Kit

My Mushroom ID Kit is an accessible way to actively engage with the characteristics of fungi that will lead you to a positive ID using a field guide. This kit includes a laminated guide and 50 individual checklist and spore print cards.
